A 27-year-old man in Bangladesh known as the "tree man" experienced surgery to expel the extensive, wood-like tissues that secured his hands and feet, recently.
Over the previous year, the man, Abul Bajandar, has experienced 16 surgeries to evacuate 11 lbs. (5 kilograms) of the strange developments from his hands and feet, concurring to Telegraph UK
Preceding the surgery, the developments were extensive to the point that Bajandar couldn't nourish himself or hold his little girl.
"Presently I feel so much better; I can hold my little girl in my lap and play with her," Bajandar told AFP.
Bajandar has an uncommon hereditary condition called epidermodysplasia verruciformis, as per news reports. Individuals with this condition are more vulnerable to human papillomavirus (HPV)infections in their skin, as indicated by a 2010 report of the condition.
In individuals with this condition, HPV contaminations prompt to the arrangement of wart-like skin sores, which advance to harmful tumors in around 50 percent of patients, the report said.
