An Uttarkhand locale, Udham Singh Nagar could figure out how to enroll its name in the Limca Book of Records by developing 8,000 toilets in the region in only 20 days. The activity was taken up under Swacch Bharat mission, where the region needs to accomplish an objective of 76,016 toilets in the provincial regions to be announced open-crap free (ODF).
On October 13, 2016, Swajal Pariyojna that completed the development work, was granted the testament. The toilets were developed in 351 gram Panchayats of the area from January 25, 2016 to February 15, 2016. As such, 64,613 toilets have been built in seven areas of the region.
