New Delhi: According to the new rule issued by the Ministry of External Affairs the birth certificate would never again be required to get an Indian Passport issued, reported on Friday.
Addressing media here, Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh said that birth certificate that determines the date of birth is no more drawn out compulsory for getting travel permit and documents, for example, PAN card, driving permit, Aadhaar card, or Matriculation Certificate will suffice.
He likewise declared that online Passport application frame now requires the candidate to give the name of just a single parent and not both.
This would empower single guardians to apply for travel papers for their kids. Also, wedded candidates would not be required to give any marriage authentication, the clergyman included.
The administration has reported new passport rules so as to streamline, change and facilitate the procedure of issuing of passport, an official proclamation said.
